I know it’s been a long while since I’ve posted on here, but I wanted to let everyone know that I have a new blog now: Twig Twig. On this new blog, I post OOTD shoots, beauty product reviews, and tidbits about what’s going on in my life. I also plan on incorporating some entertainment reviews and articles occasionally as well. You see, while I love posting here on Style Daze Blog, I always felt that something was a little off. I realized that I didn’t want to post just style posts; I wanted to be able to post about a variety of topics. I felt like I kind of holed myself into the style category with my blog name, and I didn’t think it would make much sense to see other kinds of articles on this site.
So I went through a process of figuring out what I wanted to write about, figuring out a new name. I wanted this new blog to be like my home on the internet, where I could share anything. I came up with the name Twig Twig. It’s named partly after the street I grew up on. It seemed like a perfect fit.
I also spent some time developing a new aesthetic. I wanted to feel completely in control of my blog’s image–from logo to widgets to the entire theme. The new design feels fresh. I would absolutely love it if you guys could follow me at TwigTwig.com. I’ll be sure to follow back.
I’m also on Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin.
I’m excited to get back in touch with all of you!
Hi, everybody. I have an exciting addition to Style Daze Blog, and that’s the Style Daze Store! I now have my own shop set up on Ebay where I’ll be selling stylish accessories. Right now I have earrings, rings, pins/brooches, and jewelry sets listed. You can check out the shop here.
Today’s Current Crush is Topshop’s Sleeveless Smock Dress.
Here in Jersey, we may have just had a snowstorm (and a dud of a forecasted blizzard), but many of us are thinking of the gorgeous spring weather ahead.
This Sleeveless Smock Dress is my current dream. Not only is it adorable–it’s short, breezy, and loose-fitting without making the wearer lose her shape–but it is what I’m wearing in my warm weather daydreams while I scrape ice off car windshields and shovel snow onto the tundra of a front lawn. I’d pair this dress with an edgy pair of boots–maybe my wedged black booties–scrunched down socks, some layered gold necklaces, and a plaid shirt thrown over it to keep it casual. I’d wear this out to my favorite cafe to grab some light lunch and an iced coffee on those wonderful, wonderful warm spring days.
How would you wear this dress?

Whenever winter weather creeps around, my skin gets dry. I know, I know, not the most profound finding, but with sensitive skin like mine, it’s difficult to find a moisturizer that doesn’t leave my hands, let alone my face, red and irritated. After having good experiences with Burt’s Bees products before–I’ve used their lip balm and exfoliating scrub–I decided to pick up a jar of Burt’s Bees Sensitive Night Cream in an effort to ward off dry skin on my face.
This cream is amazing. Whereas some lotions seem to aggressively attack dry spots, leaving skin sore and in even worse condition, this night cream soothes. I’ve been rubbing this product onto my face and neck every night before I go to sleep, and I feel it working right away. The combination of Burt’s Bees Sensitive Night Cream and my daily morning SPF/face lotion has protected my fair skin through the harsh winter weather.
What’s your winter moisturizing routine?
One of my goals for 2015 is to further customize my site and make changes regarding its appearance. With that said, I really wanted to add a personalized header to Style Daze Blog. Luckily, I have a wonderful boyfriend who know how to do computer things! So, if you’ve been to my site recently, you’ll have seen it at the top of the page, but, if you haven’t, here it is!
I love this logo! Hope you guys do too! There will be more changes coming to my site soon!
The December/January 2015 issue of Cliché Magazine is out now! In this issue, we have interviews with Big Time Rush actor James Maslow and Austin & Ally star Laura Marano. Available with two different covers, you can purchase the magazine here, or browse it online for free at Clichemag.com. I’m especially excited for this issue because I contributed two articles, “Stylish Tech” and “Stay Gold.” I can’t wait for you all to read it!
Today’s Spotlight is on DuWop’s Lip Venom.
I had been wanting to try this product for a few months after hearing that lip venom makes your lips plumper. This product, while not super long-lasting, does make your lips appear fuller–but only slightly. When you apply the lip venom with its wand, you can feel the venom working; it made my lips feel really tingly. The first time I applied it, I freaked out just a little bit because I had no idea if it was supposed to feel that way or now, but I’ve gotten used to it since then. It seems obvious, but the level of tingly-ness you feel depends on how much lip venom you put on your lips.
This lip venom, which has the consistency of a thick lip gloss (it looks like a clear gloss on too), also has an incredible scent. I know, I know, people using lip venom aren’t going for great smell, but it smells like cinnamon! Not super strongly, but mmm, it smells good. And that’s always a plus in my book.
Have you tried lip venom before, and, if so, how’d you like it? Let me know in the comments. (:
Today I’m debuting a new feature on Style Daze Blog: Monday Music. Each Monday I will share a song. The reasons will likely vary; I might have that song playing over and over in my head that week, or maybe I recently discovered (or rediscovered) it, or perhaps I genuinely loved the video and felt the need to share. Whatever the reason, I hope you enjoy this new feature.
Kicking off the first Monday Music is Jessie Ware’s “You & I (Forever).” The music video grabbed me before the song did. I love the photo booth setting, and I adore all the relationships it showcases. But I also thought the song was fantastic. Jessie’s voice is beautiful. Let me know what you guys think.
